The Library property consists of:
a) books and documents in any form, which are part of the Library’s collections at the time of the Rules and Regulations enactment plus anything else purchased, donated or exchanged afterwards; all books and documents are classified and individually marked;
b) catalogues, bibliographical archives, databases;
c) facilities, office machines and furniture;
d) real estate, suburban as well, intended to house any other library structure.
The property is entrusted to the Social and Cultural Services representative and to the Librarian, who must immediately inform in writing the Local Administration of any damage, theft or loss. As per a Local Administration act, books or documents which are not considered to be rare nor valuable and whose deterioration would prevent their use, will be reported by the Librarian in a given list, taken off from the Library inventory and pulped.
Art.7
The Library expenses will be met with:
a) budget allocations;
b) contributions made by the Region Council;
c) donations and contributions made by Public Bodies and private individuals.
Art.8
In its annual budget the Local Administration will introduce the Library’s income and expenditure. By the 30th of October of each year the Social and Cultural Services representative, together with the Librarian, will draw up a report with a financial plan stating any service related need and the resources required for their satisfaction. By the 30th of April of the following year the Social and Cultural Services representative will draw up a report with a final balance and statistics in relation to the past management, attesting the achievement of the target previously planned. The financial plan and the final balance will be examined by the Council Commission for Culture and Education, the Local Administration and the City Council. A copy of the above mentioned documents will be forwarded to the Book Department of the Region Council.
